Jon Goff 5th round in the NFL Draft to NY Giants.

Three-year starter and captain for Boston area power house St. John's Prep. Started at safety and receiver as sophomore; safety, receiver and quarterback as junior, and tailback and outside linebacker as senior... Team posted undefeated regular season records in 2001 and 2002...Rushed for 920 yards for 104 attempts in 2002... Passed for nine TDs and ran for 642 yards as junior quarterback... All-conference selection in 2001 and 2002... PrepStar All-East pick... Also started for basketball and track & field squad... Goff arrived at Vanderbilt in 2003 and redshirted the year. In his first three seasons (2004-'06), he played in 34 games (27 starts) and recorded 194 tackles (nine for losses), 3.5 sacks and an interception. As a senior in 2007, he started all 12 games at middle linebacker and finished the season with 93 tackles (six for losses), 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two pass breakups, an interception and a blocked kick. He closed out his Commodores career having made 39 consecutive starts, dating back to his freshman year. Like a lot of other inside linebackers in this class Goff has to get stronger in his trunk and improve his ability to anchor against the inside run but he has the bulk and frame to improve in that area. In addition, he is a relentless competitor who shows excellent range both as a run defender and dropping into coverage .
